why did it need to be a good analogy. You were talking about soccer as a meaningful event. If I want to watch people run and do exactly [penis] for 3 hours, I'll trot along beside the marathoners.
Its growing on me. I'm watching now. I've also heard for 20 years it will soon be the most popular sport here. Its just not going to happen.
Americans like violence. Nascar became popular with the a lot of people due to wrecks. Football is legal violence. Soccer is the exact opposite of that.
I don't get the macho push back soccer gets here. No one would turn down the US/Nashville getting to host the Olympics, nor feel the need to point out that gymnastics and curling will never overtake football or basketball. It is a sport. It is a sport insanely popular overseas and with young American children because it is cheap to play and extremely challenging to master. It will bring in revenue.
The fact soccer players do a lot of ridiculous bullcrap doesn't change the fact that a big striker like Zlatan Ibrahimovich takes a pounding. Inside the 18 yard box especially is very physical.
So the only reason someone would think a game for broke people with no scoring, no action and littered with flopping sucks is due to lack of knowledge of the game?
