Whispers that Petrino could be his OC.

EDIT: Don't really understand the new thread title, but Tubs to UC is fact and that's why I started the thread. FootballScoop mentioned that Petrino could be his OC, and is reporting that Jones will bring his OC and DC from Cincinnati to Tennessee (but the DC is willing to be a LB coach here if needed). Jay Graham is also expected to be retained.

 

Just got a text from a buddy that is friends with hinshaw-said entire
staff excepting graham wa let go. Said Chaney to Missouri and trying to take hinshaw with him

 

Hat was right, Cincinnati got a better coach than us.

 

If this turns out to be true (the Tuberville part - I seriously doubt the Petrino part), then I might puke. What a joke.

If I were Tubs, I would leave Lubbock for Cincinnati....just for the upgrade in surroundings.

 

Tech might try to take dykes away from cal.

 

I wouldn't think Tubs would want to work with Petrino.

So Jones is dumping Pittman for the guy that has followed him from his time at CMU? I respect the loyalty - but not when it harms my program. Geez.

Petrino is just a rumor I've seen. Don't know anything about their relationship though.

 

I probably would have taken Jones honestly. I wouldn't have wanted either one of them, however.

I'll go ahead and say this is complete humiliation.

 

While I didn't want Tuberville here - Cincinnati just made Tennessee look like a bunch of chumps.

 

At least Tuberville is a known commodity and a name attached to it. Butch Jones probably cannot even sing Rocky Top.

 

Ironically, I still believe that if Craig James doesn't get Mike Leach fired at TTU in December 2009 that Tubs is probably the head coach at UT today.

 

If true they are getting more serious about elevating their program. Maybe got some bigger booster buy-in to upgrade facilities like they have promised for the past 20 years. Don't want to be outdone by Louisville. ACC bound is on their minds.

We didn't need this to prove we are chumps. It just adds to the long list of misdeeds.

 

Thus far I think we have Boston College with the worst offseason hire, with UT right behind.

 

And now I'm raging again.
