I've said it many times on here... But seeing staples of my youth dying off is depressing. Getting old sucks.

He was on my sisters unit at work ,she said he was a nice man, he was one of the best.

 

I never dreamed he would last this long from his "No Show Jones" days. What a unique, great country singer the Possum was. There is a big time reunion going on with the Lord today.

 

Add a couple of decades. Time adds perspective though. You start celebrating the good memories and looking forward to a wonderful eternity with the Lord and people you care about.

I got to see one of his last concerts. He was in pitiful shape up on the stage a few weeks ago. I knew it wouldn't be long. I wish he could have made it through the tour, though. They had a big celebration planned to end it. When I think of country music, he's the epitome.
