Gus Manning

Passed away last night per Brian Rice on the Sports Animal.

 

What a life, great run. Must have been close to 100?

 

May we all be so lucky as to live a life like Gus'.

Sad, sad day. Incredible man and Tennessee royalty.

 

Last living link to General Neyland. He was a walking encyclopedia who was still sharp as a tack into his nineties. Definitely a sad day.

 

Gus Manning was a wonderful person who loved Tennessee. I consider myself fortunate I got to know both he and Haywood Harris a little when I was in school

 

So glad he got to see the program turn around again

 

One of my most treasured Vol possessions is the "Once a Vol, Always a Vol". Autographed by Heywood and Gus when they spoke at an Alumni Golf outing.

Roger passed away. For those that don't know him he was one of the most loyal vol fans of all time. Tony B often had him on his show and he called into other talk shows as well. Guy didn't know a stranger and loved the Vols with everything. 2 tough loses on the year already. Hopefully they get to watch our beloved Vols kick some ass this year from upstairs. RIP

Not sure. He has had some health issues from birth so it could be related to that, but I am not for certain. Guy was such a sweet person.
