Vols will play Utah State Sunday night, 8/31, on SEC network. Thoughts?
No concerns here. Just all the more reason DirecTV has a 8/1/14 deadline of getting the SECN.
College football is on saturday paaaaaaaaawl
I feel similarly about Time Warner/Comcast. Although I'll probably be at the first one
The first game of my freshman year of college was the UNLV Sunday night game. I'm a fan
Didn't we play Cal or some other opener on a Sunday night in the mid 2000's? I think they've said weekdays are out, but Sunday is fine.
I'm not a big fan of the Thursday game but pretty much anything else to have a little fun and make a spectacle of, I'm in favor, be it now or if we'd won 9 straight national titles.
I don't like Thursday games for the city of Knoxville or UT alum. A lot of folks drive a good ways to attend the game. I think it would hurt attendance. Plus they have to work. Also, it would be devastatingly disruptive to classes that day and the next.
Fighting words I will not forget.
08 UCLA was on a Sunday.
Fulmer still owes me travel expenses for that one
Meet him at Taco Bell in 45 minutes for your tacos.
Groves may be right with UNLV. I was at Cal, that was a Saturday afternoon game.
Yup, the UNLV game was Sep 5 2004 on a Sunday night. The 2008 UCLA game was on a Monday night
White jerseys with orange shoulders in that one?
Yup and the coming out party for Brent Schaeffer
I had forgotten that was a Sunday game, I was there but I was only 12. I don't know if y'all could have foreseen the impending nosedive the program would take at the time, but as a naive 12 year old I thought we were about to be really dang good for the foreseeable future
As a drunk 19 year old, I thought the same thing
