Playing hard. If we had an o-line, we could probably keep it interesting.

Am I crazy or did the refs botch the review on the fumble?

It was inconclusive, I think they worded it horribly.

Has OU been holding all night?

Didn't look inconclusive. Knee never touched, ball started in his left hand, then it wasn't in his left hand and was pinned between AJs helmet and the RBs stomach, RBs right hand was on AJs helmet so it didn't have possession of the ball. Seemed like a fumble.

Was 100% a fumble. Runner lost control and never regained it. Knees weren't down.

    And a clear ass recovery.

They've been holding more than a drug dealer trying to get rid of a pound of weed.

Yes, it's been blatant on 2 or 3 plays.

Folks have already nailed it all in this thread. O line is terrible, that was a fumble, they're holding, but we still aren't good enough for that to matter too much.

Given the shitty oline and the holding, if they get the fumble call right then we are only down six at the half.

Doesn't help the o line when it's look, pat, snap on every play.

Yeah, might as well look at the d line and say "here we go".

Your assessment would be correct. KB I used to be years ago myself.

The gulf in class is a shitty excuse, but its really the truth here. The "read option" with this team, against teams of this caliber, isn't much different than the Polish Lancers riding out to meet the Wermacht in 1939. Doesn't matter how well you execute when you're crippled by how poorly the personnel fit what you're trying to do.

Seems like a coach would try to adapt his play calling to fit his players abilities...

    Nah.

I mean it's not like they don't have it in the playbook either. We ran a bunch of under center stuff early on.
