Jaron Toney will not return for a 5th season

It was announced earlier today he will pursue his professional non-football career. He graduates this summer.

He went from a situational starter in November to completely buried by the next July. Don't blame him at all. He obliterated his career ceiling thanks to Dooley.

 

Put on one of the most impressive performances I've ever watched out of a high school football player, but had no reason at all to ever seen the field at UT.

Wouldn't be surprised if he wound up back at Alcoa teaching/coaching.

 

He has a brother in the Army.

 

He was a great player but it can't be understated how great that '09 Alcoa OL was. My god, they'd line up in a 2 TE set and road-grate.

You could have given every Maryville defender a 22 and they would not have stopped him. when Maryville did touch him, they bounced right off.

 

That 09 game was really something. I think Alcoa ran 55 plays, all runs, 48 of them to Toney.

 

It was something like that. I know they didn't attempt a pass.
