I am looking at getting my daughter possibly a Kindle for Christmas and was wondering if anyone had either that could maybe give me some input. I'm leaning towards the kindle touch but one thing i was wondering was about loading books NOT bought from amazon and how easy it is to do, if you even can. does anyone have any input to offer about any of the e-readers? i've read article after article about them but i was looking for input from someone who actually has one or knows some first hand experience about them.
I have the original nook. It takes most file types. Book files are tiny. You can download 2000 in a torrent in a few minutes.
that leads to another question, how easy is it to load books that are downloaded from a torrent site rather than from amazon/barnes & nobles or what not? are there any conflicts with file type or does it matter as long as they're e-books? and how do you load them that way, can you do it without any kind of mod to it?
i have come across this as far as side loading ebooks on a kindle, sounds pretty simple. Dear Jane: How Do I Sideload eBooks onto the Kindle? - Dear Author
