To all who have served, at home or abroad, in peacetime and at war, active or reserve, in any branch of service, or for any length of time - thank you. I hope that we will someday be found worthy of your many and great sacrifices, if only fractionally, both as individuals and collectively, as a people.
Yessir. I have been lucky enough to not lose any family members to war, but lost a fraternity brother in Iraq in late 2004. That was rough enough, I cannot imagine what some have gone through.
Thank you to all that served or are serving. You guys have my respect and not just on this one day. Even you, Tenny.
Saying "you're welcome" would be pompous, so, live long and prosper. Also, thanks to all those currently serving, and thanks to all those who have already served. Those that "will" serve... show us.
Was at the Cards romp over the Braves today at the Ted, and they did the Kiss Cam, which is normally something I disdain, but today most of the folks on it were servicemen in uniform with their wives, many with small children. i was pretty ok with it today.
