I'll just say this is a must-win for Romney if the wants to get to the dance in November.

If he doesn't win, then congrats will go out to President Obama on his reelection.

    I tend to agree.

Yep, and dipshit Santorum is leading in virtually every poll.

So, have they simply dismissed Romey as a possibility? That seems odd.

With the mention of an open convention, I think that leaves the door open to still select Romney. Don't know, but that made it seem like about anything is possible should Santorum actually 'win'.

I read that last week. I really, really, really hope it doesn't come to that.

If the GOP gives two shits about actually winning, they'll all unite behind Romney and get Santorum's stupid ass out of this thing.

I'm pretty much an idiot. We'll revive this next week.

For some reason I convinced myself it was today.

    Time to bump this.

Looks like common sense will prevail in michigan.

But the Santorum menace still looms, overall.

This may be the only election in history where the (soon-to-be-announced) 3rd party independent candidate (Paul) fears that the mainstream party nominee will split HIS vote, instead of the reverse.

Even if Oprah was named their VP candidate, neither Romney nor Santorum can beat President Obama. It just isn't going to happen.

The GOP is choosing between two candidates who will either be simply defeated or easily defeated by Obama, and little else.

What's the old adage - if you have two good QB's, then you have....

Quick straw poll of those Romney supporters here. Have you given him your support because:

    1. You believe that he best examples the principals of the Republican Party, and honestly believe that he'd make a great President, or
    2. His name isn't "President Barack Obama"

    Serious question.

Aren't general Republican principals to monger fear and hate amongst the lower and middle class?

"Obama the Muslim is personally coming to abort your babies and take your guns! "

Is that a straw man in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

I think most like Romney because he relates so well to the plight of so many across the nation. He is buddies with several NASCAR owners. That oozes common man.

I found it quite humorous. I thought he had been to the 'How To Be a Member of the Far Right Wing' seminar.

To give a serious answer to your question, it seems obvious to me.

    He's not Obama.

The GOP can't conjure up a single, worthy candidate, thus sealing the Obama re-election.
