He was not good at all over his last few games there, and if you watched you saw that. You suggested he was benched for playing too well on a tanking team which is the most casual fan take ever
If I am a clown, why are you the one riding a tiny tricycle into this thread like Dobbs isn't a national story right now? What you are saying, in effect, is that no matter WHAT you would be right. Even when I was correct that he is able to be a successful QB, despite virtually no practice time with a team (both Cardinals and Vikings, by the way), I am a clown because you perceived him to be the problem on a terrible Cardinals team and miraculously the results for the Cardinals didn't change without him but the results with him on the Vikings are good. Okay. Smell my flower and get soaked, [itch bay].
Yes, correct, when you said he was benched for being too good on a tanking team that is playing Kyler Murray when it has no reason to, you were always going to be wrong. Glad we agree. I don't mind homerism but victory lapping bad takes is annoying
He was benched after Gannon watched the tape of his last start, if he was benched because he was being traded there's no reason to announce his benching at all
Then Gannon is a moron too, because reality is here and it says Dobbs has 300+ yards against a team with a winning record in his second week there. About 2-0. Saying what Gannon thought on a dogshit Cardinals team is mostly duplicative to acting like Dobbs was what was wrong with the Cardinals. How did Tune do last week? better or worse than Dobbs? I know the answer, but you must not or you would know my take was clearly accurate.
Gannon must’ve seen something good on Tune’s film I suppose, before having maybe the worst stats and qbr ever.
Tune was terrible and Dobbs wasn't the only thing wrong with the Cardinals and often kept them in games in the first half, but he also wasn't good at all down the stretch in his last few games there and that's why he got benched, not because he was too good. NFL teams tank a lot less often than people suggest they do
I don't want to dogpile on Tune, but I think that horrific performance is indicative of something, and it isn't that Dobbs sucks. Imagine benching Dobbs for that, thinking it was going to increase your chance of winning.
If the mark of being "good" is carrying a team with 21 other people taking snaps for 4 quarters, I am not sure how many players are consistently good at all. It is a team sport. The ultimate team sport. The proof is in the results. The Cardinals' best QB was just traded away. I don't know whether that is tanking, or incompetency. I don't care. I just know Dobbs is an NFL starter. That's a fact.
Their best QB is Murray. Dobbs was going to be a backup there, but is better than the injury fill-in guys on other teams and is a low-level starter/high-level backup
Murray is not available. You seem to be suggesting one of two things: they are tanking by trading Dobbs, or that Dobbs is so bad as to be benched in favor of 50 yards and two picks performer Tunes. And you said teams don't tank very much. I'm going to move on, but only because I think no amount of evidence would convince you that I was right all along on this. You're having to twist yourself like a pretzel to avoid saying it.
Man seeing Dobbs play well has me rethinking what Hooker can do. Lot of similarities. Dobbs is a little better runner. But Hooker is faster at processing Ds and more accurate
