iirc, the first thing the qb coaches at georgia did with stafford was try to teach him how to take some of the zip off his throws.

Agree. I'm not a fan. Except in fantasy. He's good there.

You're full of it. But I'll race you at the next tailgate to settle this once and for all.

Ryan Mallett had as big of an arm as anybody.

Cutler had a cannon and was more accurate and less stupid than Mallett.

Cutler also had Earl Bennett. I don't like Vandy but they hooked up for some pretty spectacular plays.

I don't remember Namath in college, but he threw a pretty ball as a pro.

Cockrell had a true baseball arm. He didn't get a lot of TV coverage, and you wont find much on him online, but he could zip the ball among the best of them.

Not necessarily. His touchdown pass to Tony George in the 1997 Florida game was right on target.

He seems to have become a bit of a polarizing topic on this board, but I'm not sure I've seen anyone throw a prettier ball than Tyler Bray.

I didn't think he took his craft seriously enough but the dude was damn good at spinning the bean.

I agree. At least once a game, he'd make a throw that would make my jaw hit the floor. He would have been scary with competent coaching.

It's a shame he was here with Dooley

Namath was damn good, so was Stabler, and what about Conredge Holloway? Steve Spurrier had great accuracy, not so sure of strength.

He was one of the least impressive of the Florida qbs during that stretch.

It was more than that for me. He did so many things well. Brilliantly, even.

    Strong arm
    Accurate deep ball
    Has touch
    Gets the ball out quickly
Can throw receivers open, which allows him to get the ball out quickly (rather than Worleying in the pocket)
Quick release, which allows him to get the ball out quickly when he's getting the ball out quickly because he can throw receivers open (rather than Worleying)*.
Had a shoulder/pump fake seemingly embedded in his throwing motion. It was like he did it as a matter of course.

    Check times seven.

I mean, we suspect that he didn't know the playbook in 2011 or 2012, but we KNOW he didn't know the playbook in 2010. Au naturale quarterbacking below:

*Simmsing would also be appropriate....in both instances.
