We all have always collectively said ending a football season by winning a giant, beautiful glass bowl filled to the brim with fresh Florida oranges is the pinnacle. But seriously, this season was the most fun I've had overall with Vols football since I was a little kid who fully fell in love with all things Tennessee football during the 2001 season. No championships, but this team will be forever remembered like the SugarVols of 86 are still remembered to this day. 20/30 years from now this team will still be marched onto the field of Neyland during their reunion weekends for a well deserved standing ovation. I think we will look back at this season as the official dawning of a new age of Tennessee football excellence.
As was the Vols on CBS curse whenever they play their most hated rivals. Two college gamedays in Knoxville after none the previous 6 years combined. We are the "it" program currently, and it feels good.
I'll always have expectations. They are the essential pieces in the kit of the legion of the miserable. Expectations were greatly succeeded. Now they are higher, but they can still be exceeded.
