Pearl: Three Year Show Cause

Tony Jones, Steve Forbes and Jason Shay -- will receive one-year show-cause penalties.

 

Is the three year number coming from your sources?

 

No I just skimmed it real quick and thought it said three... although anyone I've talked to thought it would be three to five years.

The assistants should consider themselves very, very lucky if that's all they get.

Sounds like neither program will face penalties beyond those already self-imposed (beyond show-cause orders for the basketball coaches). That's great news.

 

They should be thrilled they didn't get at least as much as Pearl. Forbes' bullshit statement about the possible photoshopping of the picture merited 2 years by itself.

 

D-league offer is looking mighty good for Pearl. No media outlet in their right mind would hire a coach with 3-5 year show cause.

True, but I still feel UT loses... if this is all we received, why on earth did we not hire a more proven coach?

 

Seems harsh to me but this is the NCAA we are dealing with
