Interesting twist in all of this....

About 30 (of 85) Penn State players showed up on the practice field this morning to re-avow their commitment to staying.

Silas Redd was not in attendance.

It has since been Tweeted (Penn State beat writer?) that Redd did not attend the event because he is en route to Chicago, where he is scheduled to be one of three players representing Penn State at Big 10 Media days (which begin tomorrow).

 

What happened to the other 52?

 

they'd be dumb to stay.

 

btw kiffin spent a decent amount of his pac12 media day press conference basic making a case that redd would be the last piece of teh puzzle.

 

Be interesting to see in the end who PSU is able to keep. Im sure many will not have the options that make it worth leaving.

 

i bet they keep most of the upper classmen and instate kids. out of state underclassmen are going to flee like crazy.

 

Bars was a special teamer as RS soph and has a 3.9 gpa. His brother in '14 class is an OL with offers from us, Michigan, UNC, and a handful of other BCS schools.

His other brother signed with Michigan last year.

 

Fortt coming to Cal. Rivals had him as the 5th ranked LB in the class in 2010. Fortt and Redd are apparently very close and most believe if redd was going to stay fortt would to.

 

I had a pipe dream that Fortt might somehow end up on the hill.
