Heupel is going to have to hire some help to get it turned around... I can see the shirts now... It Takes a village...
So I’m taking it he’s pitching a no hitter for staff?? Sent from Not in my Home State using the new old Atari
Here's one prediction on a potential staff: Alex Golesh — Offensive coordinator/tight ends Glen Elarbee — Offensive line Joey Halzle — Quarterbacks Matt Merritt — Running backs Kodi Burns — Wide receivers Nick Toth — Special teams Zach Arnett — Defensive coordinator/linebackers Brick Haley — Defensive line Willie Martinez — Safeties Jason Washington — Cornerbacks SIAP https://atozsportsnashville.com/ten...-josh-heupels-potential-coaching-staff-at-ut/
I don’t know how those guys recruit, but the mix (bringing some UCF guys on offense, looking for SEC experience on defense) sounds about right.
He's only been here a few days, but do you guys think they're only waiting for nsd to pass before announcing the assistant hires?
Theres a lot to it. Buyouts, ncaa, contracts and $, spouses, kids... As some have mentioned, its not like the old days where coaches arent making money and go for the $. Most are living very comfortably and when you look at recent UT coaches, cant predict you will be there very long.
Offensively I agree. Defensively, I bet it’ll be a little bit of a harder sell, depending on who ends up on staff once the dust settles.
Arnett appears to have been really good everywhere he’s gone, and he has experience running a defense for an Air Raid coach. If he comes here, that’ll be encouraging for me
Would love this. One of my state friends said that he showed up to his LSU interview in MSU gear and was just looking for a raise from the dawgs. Seems pretty committed.
