Has nothing to do with skill level and everything to do with the court of public opinion. Not sure what people thought happened in that elevator but seeing is believing for some. There was no way they could retain him after the video leaked, the backlash against the Ravens and the NFL would be too great to ignore.

Yeah, domestic violence just became an issue in the NFL. Glad to see Goodell being on top of things. Such swift action. He's a real Harry Truman.

 

Things implemented without first consulting the union usually don't turn out as planned. This will ultimately be another pie in the face for Goodell.
