The article said there was no evidence of alcohol in the car. I assume that's just physical evidence. Toxicology reports will tell the tale. Not sure what it would change at this point though. Terrible situation.
His production went down toward the end. I guess it was indirectly due to his pay but if he were kicking like he did in 2007 they would have paid him, it wasn't simply cutting cost and losing a guy they wanted to keep though.
Just awful news. He did a lot of good work in the Nashville community over ten years. Was as automatic and reliable of a kicker as there was.
Yeah, Justin is right, he liked to party but it sounds like he was sober when he wrecked, just speeding. He got married in June so maybe he settled down a bit, I don't know as they didn't mention him much but he was known to party when he was playing.
He enjoyed life. He put on some golf tournies for charity and was seen often at autism events. I hope he wasn't drinking. That road is dark and some areas have a dropoff pretty close to the white line, though where his car was found, there appears to be plenty of room.

something is amiss. That 911 call has some weird stuff. --her husband got of the car to confront Bironas for a mean look? --she repeats "we don't even know him" several times. In a road rage deal, do the people ever know each other? --description of what cars were where and who passed who is confusing. imo, Bironas either was mad about something, speeding and lost control. He may have had some type of reaction to medication. He may have left his new wife in anger that spilled over. He may have been run off the road, and the only reason I think that is due to the 911 caller. If her husband is going to get out of the car at least once to confront someone at 11 pm, then he would try to run someone off the road, imo. I'm thinking 2 testosterone filled men had a little road rage going at each other and Bironas either simply lost control or was run off the road.
