I've laughed at his stand up specials for hours. His character in Good Will Hunting was great

I don't normally care about celebrity deaths, but this one sucks. I grew up on his movies. Aladdin, Jack, Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire... I could go on forever. It's a sad day today.

Hook. I probably watched that movie 10,000 times as a kid

sad. I saw him a couple of years ago at a charity event in Los Angeles and he was joking around and clowning around doing the robin willimas thing and I remember feeling a couple of things. first it seemed completely fake and contrived. even though he was being funny and had a huge smile and such, some part of you didn't buy it. second I thought it must be quite the burden to have to be the funny goofball all the time.

One of the first true belly laughs I ever had was as a young man watching Mork & Mindy.

Many times comedians are tragic characters, often filling people with laughter while they struggle inside. I have a very close family member that battles depression, and it is not a pretty thing. I often worry that one day I will have to see this headline played out in my own life, but there is truly nothing anyone can do other than be there for the person and get them help if they will accept it.

I am very sad right now.

    That blows.

Droski - I've never been around him but yet I get exactly what you are saying and can totally see that.

I loved the hell out of Mrs. Doubtfire as a kid.
