Fourth person in a totalitarian ruled kingdom, a female to boot. Think she can hold on to power? Perhaps 70 years of complete brainwashing by the government makes any kind of revolt impossible, I don't know, but I would think someone in the upper echelons of the party might see this as a chance to grab some power for themselves.
it doesn't, was just joking after you had come in with a "fake news" to the initial reports of him circling the drain.
If I were a betting man, I would say yes. Or at best, in a vegetative coma until little sis kills anyone that she needs to kill to get into power and stay there.
Her ascendency has been in the works for awhile. She’s picked up a lot of titles and cred in the last several months and she’s long been her brother’s closest and most trusted advisor. Nothing would surprise me, but her trajectory has definitely been up in recent times, and not down. And this, despite rumors - RUMORS - that she may have played some nefarious role her brother’s illness / recovery. Some say that she is responsible for her brother’s softening, and that she is even more open to idea of western ideals.
I have no idea if he is dead or alive, but my gut tells me that DPRK isn’t letting these rumors persist if he’s alive & well, and that they damned sure aren’t recycling his old statements, as they’ve recently done. This seems to be a situation that suggests chaos and not order, as you’d expect from a sudden and unexpected death, and particularly with a totalitarian regime, such as NK.
Nows the time to attack them. Just completely wipe them out and start over. Or better yet, just have a Korea.
Sure. Step 1 of that plan is to declare war on China, because that’s what an offensive military action inside NK would essentially do.
