I don't like the fact sam adams puts fruit in all their ****ing beers now. I do like the winter ale.

the hints of orange, lime or lemon don't really bother me. the overpowering lemon shandy crap sucks. I like the orange zest and cinnamon combo in the winter ale.

I'm a Steele's Reserve cheap beer type guy.

I figure why bother with cheap beer. I'm not interested in being drunk, so I don't need it enough to drink it. If I'm gonna drink it, it needs to be palatable.

Understand. Was a go to before I had money.

I drink more whiskey than beer now.

we all had our drinking purely for getting drunk days and most of us were probably pretty close to penniless then, so beast had its function. That crap is no longer functional for me.

Last one I had was 3 or 4 years ago in Cape Hatteras. We decided to do a nostalgic beer tour. We got through 2 days (Steele's and PBR) before we abandoned the idea for better beer.

Never tried it until this summer in Myrtle Beach's Tilted Kilt. The waitresses and the beer made watching a World Cup match with my bro-in-law who insisted on watching it survivable.

If a beer can make soccer anything but repulsive to me, then it's really good stuff.

I've yet to have met an American born soccer fan who isn't a major douchebag and doesn't think it makes him better than the rest of us (no offense IP).

He just started watching the last World Cup.

I'd rather swallow acid soaked broken glass than watch soccer.

The days of drinking to get drunk are long gone for me. The hangover these days...yeesh.

That being said...I'm not nearly the beer connoisseur I used to be, either. I tend to keep things simple...Shiner Bock, Blue Moon, Dos XX are my go-to's.

only times I've watched it are when other people have it on. of course I could say the same about baseball for the past say 10 years.

It's not my intention, but it still happens to me occasionally.

I try to get drunk at least once a week. call me an alcoholic. I try not to drink enough to get hung over though.

Well...I'm definitely not averse to the idea, for sure.
