Swain vs Sabanocchio

Give me a good stout or IPA.

I had Founders Imperial Stout the other day and it was outstanding.

 

swee****er 420 (and good pale ales in general), hoegaarden, and Guinness. I got a Guinness w/ 8% ABV in Rome, it was glorious

 

Swee****ter 420 and IPA are good stuff.

I love Guinness. If you find Founders anywhere, try it.

 

I've only gotten into IPA's over the past year or so, used to hate them. Ranger is very good but I've got to be in the right mood.

 

I ****ing hate IPAs. It's like 50% of beers on tap these days.

 

Agreed. Too hoppy. I like dark beers.

 

Never noticed that a bad word was in "sweet water" with no spaces.

 

I generally prefer dark as well, Jolly Scot from Appalachian Brewco or anything from the Long Trail line. Fall seasonals are generally good from anyone, while winters to me taste like a spice rack exploded in a glass.

For hanging out, working in the shop type of stuff I get original Coors cans.

 

God I had some crazy nights drinking Red Dog.

It's hoppy to cover the sicky-sweet flavor from what I can tell of most I've tried. Most are barely drinkable.

 

I don't get any sweetness. Just hops. Which is silly.

 

I like the Samuel Smith stuff, Dos Equis Amber...Allagash's Curieux is solid, and packs an 11% punch....had New Holland Dragon's Milk the other night and enjoyed - bourbon, malts, chocolate, oak, vanilla...was basically dessert.

But as much as I love a nice beer, I'll still drink a twelve pack of Coors Light over an 18-pack of holes with the boys.

Can't stomach Bud Light though.

 

Oh, and Lagunitas' Cappucino Stout. Good stuff.

I know the look. I get them over and over when ordering another beer.

 

It's hard to ignore but I manage to push through it.
