I didn’t know till the other day that his AF1 plane went on to serve the next 3 or 4 presidents. Say Tenny, are you familiar with an additional flight recording from AF1’s trip from Love Field to DC being found in a govt workers’s estate recently (4 or 5 years ago)? It has some additional stuff from the one that’s been around forever. The only things that I can remember off the top of my head is phone calls concerning what the SS plans where for the body and Curtis LeMay’s assistant trying to track him down in Canada, and not on the hunting trip his biographers have always placed him.
I have - it included more recordings of Crown (WH call sign) trying to reach and redirect the plane carrying Sallinger and other officials back to DC. That’s how they heard of assassination - over a crackling two way radio. They asked for several confirmations, IIRC.
