The 2014 Tennessee football crossroads

    I just hope our defense plays up to their ability. The outcome of that game depends entirely on which Mizzou team shows up. I'm afraid a newfound hope to win the East will have them fired up. I'm glad it's at home.

    I would have given us little chance of beating Mizzou had we lost this South Carolina Game in the 4th or overtime. I think that would have been too much to overcome.

    But now we're going to give them a game.

    Mizzou is slightly above average every where except at getting to the passer. That's their strength and Tennessee's biggest weakness.

    I have no idea what's happened to the defense.

    I don't think it can be understated how important the win was to rebuilding our players confidence, regardless of how good/bad USCe is right now.

    Yeah, an sec road win is important and any win over Spurrier is a good win

    And to directly address the question in the OP, whatever happens I don't think this team relaxes. The flaws in scheme and coaching are plentiful but the will and desire has been with this team the last two years. Butch does get them up.
