No team is as good or bad as their last game. Forget the losing streak Iowa had to end the season when analyzing this game.

 

BYU RPI was 33 with 17 SOS.
Iowa SOS was 44. SMU was 137. They had same RPI, 54

That may have had a bit to do with it. Just telling you eyeballing the brackets on one screen and the ESPN RPI on the other what the deciding factors were.

I have no doubt in my mind what the difference between SMU and NC State was, which was RPI 53 and SOS 21.
