Miles reminds me of the basketball situation a few years ago. I wanted Michael White, the VN crowd went love sick over Rick Barnes. Nowadays, Barnes has UT playing well and are a good team to watch, but White has the Gators in the top ten with a much longer shelf life than Barnes. I feel like Miles will be fine, but there are better coaches for us out there.

The up and comer that has yet to achieve what the other guy has achieved but based on potential may one day achieve what the other guy has achieved argument. Solid.
It provides an adequate timeline for Tee Martin as a coach in waiting, 3-5 years. That is how I interpret it.
We are not very good at choosing up and comers. The last two hires took away 8 years and countless losses. Les Miles is much better than who they fired him for.
Love Coach Miles. Won with Saban's guys then went and did it on his own too. Has his problems but his teams always played with confidence. He's crushed Mullen over the years and has a winning record against Florida. I like him more than most all the dufuses I've heard considered this week. His *worst* year at LSU he won 8 games.
I’ve lost confidence in us doing “due diligence” after all this. It seems like we just have AD’s that aim low.
Saban's still there. We play him every year. If not beating Saban is your goal. Les Miles is your guy.
I mostly agree, although the trend lines weren’t good, but he needs a great offensive coordinator, not Tee.
