The Never-ending College basketball season thread

Cuonzo is cuonzoing tonight.

 

Main issue I had with him is we had talent and athletes. Yet we shot more contested shots at the end of the shot clock than anybody.
Then the petition, race card played with the team got them fired up and they just so happened to start running the court and letting guys loose. Iir they avg 80 a game during that run.
Dumbass cuonzo. Play like that all the time and stay as long as you want. It took 2.5 years and a petition and 1 L from no tourney to change the style

 

He got doubled up in a conference game. Wow.

 

And went to a damn final four.

 

Got hot and very lucky. Apparently that buys you a lifetime contract.

 

A final four berth at South Carolina is immortalizing for any coach there. Even though it's been 5 years now, it was an incredible tourney run to behold considering that USC team never seemed like final four material during the regular season. Fortunately for Frank Martin, South Carolina seems like a school that takes basketball the least seriously of any other SEC school. If he does ultimately get fired, Rick Barnes makes it seem like he would find a spot for him somewhere on his staff. Those two guys always go out of their way to publicly proclaim their love for one another.

 

I would like to have a beer with Frank Martin but I don't know if I would want him as the head coach of my team

 

Nah definitely not anymore. However a decade ago I would have signed up for someone like him in the aftermath of the Pearl BBQ debacle. His stint at Kansas State was damn impressive.

Yeah, things may not be swell in Knoxville, but it's all fine and dandy compared to the cess pool on the other end of the state.

 

Tom Crean is lucky that UGA fans are too distracted by the football natty to notice that their basketball program has gone full Wade Houston this year.

To be fair, it is a stupid/asshole question.

But a question that Penny deserves to get asked because he is the epitome of a stupid asshole.
