How can you not spike right there? Enough time for two throws to the endzone... just completely boneheaded. The playcall was for an underneath out route and he wouldn't have had time to get out of bounds before a tackle anyway. That was some Dooley playcalling right there.
Think that's about as bad as it gets. This was as close as Georgia was to winning a championship in decades I think. Completely blew another big game. As long as he's still employed at UGA it makes me feel better if we get a turnaround. If he couldn't get it done this year, he's never gonna get it done, especially with Florida on the rise and UT getting back to winning ways.
He hurried it up and tried to catch the corner off guard by throwing a fade to the endzone. The ball gets tipped, unfortunately the slot receiver sees the ball and instinctually grabs it. That play happens whether Richt calls a timeout or not.
If that's the case, then yeah he's stupid. But most likely the ball was going for the fade in the endzone and got tipped.
I am pretty sure I saw Dooley on the sidelines for Georgia there at the end. That last 15 seconds was mind boggling. You have to spike the ball there so you have two clean shots into the endzone.
