If Freese doesn't go down in 2010 the Cards win the Central.

    David F. Freese. Still smashing.

Cards trotting out the "we've won the first 2 getaway day" lineup today. If I was a starter, that would probably piss me off even though it's part of the game.

The machine keeps on rolling though.

Kyle Lohse and Jake Westbrook are your early front-runners for the Cy Young Award IMO.

Matt Carpenter would have to be the early clubhouse leader for the MVP.

By the time some of these guys normalize, Holliday will get it going.

First time this season I got to watch a whole game. Not a bad one. Reds really helped out Garcia.

It's definitely nicer and more fan-friendly, but I miss the old Busch.

Trying not to freak out about Waino and telling myself he'll be ok, but it is hard.

    I am officially worried.

I'm not sure he should be pitching with the big club right now. I read somewhere that the average return from Tommy John surgery is 16 months, and Waino was back pitching in 12. Read that where he's at now is where most guys are in the spring. He's got to work his arm back up to strength and it's probably not fair for him to be working through this in MLB games.

The Cards have now won their first 5 series. One more series win to tie the 22 Giants for longest streak of series wins for a defending champ to start the following season.

Is there a fan base of any team in any sport that is as completely ridiculous as that of the Chicago Cubs?

As far as delusional? No. The Yankee fanbase is pretty ridiculous, also.

I'm all in favor of the Cardinals acquiring Aramis Ramirez just so he won't get to hit against them.

EDIT: Certainly not in favor of starting him over Freese, of course.

Sat Aramis Ramirez today to go for the greater base stealing threat in Emilio Bonifacio...didn't need the HR but still sucked to miss out on it. Yadier Molina is tearing it up for me today, though.

Yadi's bat seems to get a little better every year.
