I tried to do a number of things and took the hammering a number of different ways, but I just can't find it enjoyable when NYY is doing the hammering. Really can't figure out why I've stuck around.

I'd modify those a little bit:

The blatantly racist poster was banned after being warned repeatedly. I don't think anybody cares if you are racist if you aren't spewing propaganda.

There are several purposefully annoying posters here, a couple of whom are excellent members because they are substantive posters. Don't be purposefully annoying without being substantive.

The guy that was banned for posting personal info was a mod who went crazy and posted personal info about other mods without permission. That's just horseshit.

And I wouldn't really mind being called a loser if there is some kind of intelligent argument behind it.

So basically have at least a little sense and post something of substance and everything will be ok.

long time lurker, occassional poster. read enough to sense the "personalities" of many of you.

just wondering, has anyone ever actually been banned from here?

certainly not the collective style, but occasionally necessary, i suppose.
