I fully expect Butch to bring him on as a WR to never throw him the ball.

If Butch was the track coach he would make this kid a distance runner.

Why would you ever throw the ball to a guard?

I bet he can block the hell out of a CB on the jet sweep with that speed.

Honestly, line him up wide 3-4 plays a game, and run a fly just to force the DB to play back about 15 yards, and the safety to have to cover over top. If he breaks open, chuck it down the sideline. If he doesn't, run an underneath to that side. Majors routinely drafted track guys, IIRC (Willie Gault, for sure).

TO steal from hat JQK and I never understood that we didn't do with Leonard Scott.

Line him up in back field.

Motion him to the slot slide of field.

Send on go/vetical route and laugh as LB tries to cover him.

He would drop the ball anyway.

Scott couldn't catch for shit, but I remember him being a pretty formidable return man. He broke one against Georgia and, I swear, he nearly ran back the KO following the Jabar Gaffney "catch" from the vantage point I had in the stadium.

he could run a straight line really fast. if there was a gap he was through it, if not it was a ferrari hitting a brick wall

He had track speed, not football speed

speed certainly helps with returning kickoffs, but the great ones just have an instinct for it

I remember that 2 yard out pattern to the sideline we threw once, too.
