Question 9: QB Edition

Though 2,000 yard passing seasons are relatively common in today's college football they are quite rare historically. Who is the first Vol signal-caller to eclipse 2,000 yards passing in a season. Note: we are only talking about passing yards, not total yards.

I may have to call a technicality on this question if the answer is what I think it is. Alas, I have researched and thus will not give it.

 

Dewey Warren was the first to break 1,000 but 2,000 is hard one.

I don't think Tony ever threw for 2000 in a season Card. In fact, I believe Francis was only the second to do it.

 

It is Cockrell DHuffman.

 

It's correct. He got there, but barely in 82.

I think Robinson would have his 2K if you counted the bowl game in 84.

There wasn't another QB in between Cockrell and Francis other than Robinson was there?
