Out of respect, I'm resisting commenting on her accent.

    This is exceptionally good journalism.

Reporter: Do you regret how you’ve handled this?

    Meyer: No.

I loathe Ohio State, Schiano, and Meyer.

That being said, I don’t think Meyer should be fired for this. It’s not his job to resolve domestic situations. Police were involved, no charges were filed. I think years later the “victim” sent pictures to Meyer’s wife of alleged physical abuse. Nothing firmly ties Meyer to it.

Now that he has been arrested, the guy was rightly fired. Maybe Meyer should have parted ways with the guy years ago, but that’s not grounds for Meyer getting fired, imo.

If Meyer knew about it in 2015 like is being said he deserves every bit of heat he gets.

Knew about what though? An accusation?

If I was a betting man, I’d say Zach Smith was probably the bag man and Meyer didn’t want to him to get pissed and bring them all down, otherwise he probably would have been let go years ago.

If he knew the guy was beating his wife, and continued to employ him as a leader of young men, he needs to go. Ohio State can’t manage that from a PR standpoint.

And if he lied about it at media days, not sure you can recover from that.

How can you prove someone is beating their wife????? It’s literally he said vs she said. The guy was not charged with domestic violence, why is Urban Meyer held responsible to make that judgement? The police knew more than Urban Meyer, the woman called the police and filed a report, and Smith wasn’t charged. Why should Urban Meyer fire the dude for beating his wife when the police had more evidence than Meyer and chose not to charge Smith?

I personally would let the guy go if there was smoke on this stuff, but idk if you can hold Urban Meyer morally responsible and use this to fire him.
