when do they not crash to the RB? why would they ever do anything but?

There is no discernible "scheme", imo.

I think there is a scheme, but it couldn't be any worse for our personnel.

    Exactly.

In the true read option, you don't even account for the read DE in the blocking assignments. Whatever he does is supposed to be wrong. Crash- keep. Stay home- give. The way we are doing it with zero threat to keep, Bajakian is creating a situation where a speedy guy off the edge is completely unaccounted for while we're running a slower than molasses developing play. The defense outnumbers us at the point (should be points) of attack. That sure is a sound scheme. Our own O coordinator is creating a situation where a free defender is running wild at the LOS. It's idiotic.

I can't fathom a reason as to why they would have the read option as the base of their offense if they don't really want the qb to keep some.

If we're gonna keep on running the option, wouldn't we better off to put somebody like Pig or Lane behind center? At least they would keep the read a lot

I can't be the only one who misses a really nice I-Formation, can I?

IF Hurd is as fast as everyone says he is, why not some Iso's, off-tackle runs, and PA passes out of the I? It just seems like we're in the same formation every play.

We were in the I - formation once, what more do you want?

I'm in the minority but the pistol with a versatile H-back would mean our scheme changes very little, but plays more to the strengths of our personnel. I would love a straight up fullback. I like those stretch plays where you seal out the back side with the FB and cut it back up the gut.

    Twice. No, thre--fou---29. I want 29 times.

Sounds like a sprint draw. I like the sprint draw.

It fits our personnel but, unfortunately, not our staff. Malzahn and Chip Kelly are/were the best with the Pistol. I was more impressed than others by the play calling on Sunday but it still looks vanilla. Perhaps that's by design, especially for the first couple of games, but I just don't see Bajakian as an innovative or creative offensive mind.

It might actually be a pass option, though.
