Basically, it's a shit show but if you do it right it's a very desired job that can compete and win national titles.

If only our administration believed this or wanted this to be true, instead of hamstringing and sabotaging everything about it.

I don’t think it’s that they don’t believe or want it. They just have no idea how to bring it about, and don’t realize they don’t know

 

Anyone have a legit feeling that its likely and/or probable that Steele ends up with the job?

Or would we settle on someone like Chadwell before we go that route?

 

If they go that route, that would be a clear sign that they've thrown in the towel on the program.

I could probably come up with a list of 100 guys I'd rather have before we name Steele the HC.

 

I wouldn't be shocked, especially if the 22 in state class falls in love with him.

 

And a 1 year interim isn't out of the question, either.

Get someone competent by Valentines Day. Hope we are prepared to throw some extra money or years on the contract. The pot needs to be sweetened or even a Chadwell might wait and see what he can get next year.

 

I don't see how this is a feasible option. Would a one year interim bring in an entire staff for a single year? That seems unlikely and I don't think it would be wise to employee any coaches from Pruitt's staff any longer than absolutely necessary.

Keep everyone on contract. Hell, give Chavis a one year deal to come coach LBs for all I care.
