Will Maymon be able to come back this year?

The complication was an infection, correct? To hear it isn't progressing if that was the underlying problem is more than a little scary.

 

i never heard anything concrete on that....maybe someone else can enlighten.

 

Infection, had a wound VAC for a while I believe, and then did have a second surgery just around two weeks ago.

He still looked a bit hobbled just walking to the bench last night. He's no way near basketball condition and his father's statements seem strange in this light.
I'm not sure why all the secrecy about his condition and progress, but I highly doubt he'll be back for SEC play and maybe not for the season.
I agree that redshirting is becoming more and more a consideration.

 

Conversations with doctors, Maymon and Cuonzo will be happening shortly to decide what to do with this season. Redshirt will be a possibility.
