Would 8 wins next year be acceptable?

A bowl game next year would be acceptable. 8 wins would be down right impressive (if we are talking regular season). I think they can go 7-5 in the regular season if the chips fall right, then 8 after the bowl game. But I think that is an extreme outlier. 6-6 is acceptable, 5-7 probable but depressing, 4-8 would make me question my sanity.

 

We won't go to a bowl game next year.

As sad as it is, this will be the case as long as we have Butch and the Easy MACs.

 

The sad, easy answer is simply, yes. Next year's cupcakes went to bowl games this year. The schedule only improves by way of the barn rolling off and Ole Miss rolling on. Talent should be a little better, but unless some serious sandbagging was going on this year, the coaching is still suspect.

I don't know about 8 wins but we will make a bowl game. We will not have a losing record again next year.

No way. I have a feeling about butch. Not a feeling that were world beaters but a feeling he's determined to better this program and I firmly believe that. Half the battle is winning recruiting battles. He's doing that. Great players make great coaches and he's getting some real good ones. We'll see what he does with them but I'm betting he'll do fine with them. We will beat UGA, sc, &uf next year and all non conf games except ou. Bowl game bound.
