Not many here were. I think a lot of us said 4-5 wins last season.

Ha I just looked back through that thread to check.

I predicted 9-3 in July but changed to 8-4 by August. Most were in the 6-8 range. Some even predicted losing season.

 

I put way too much faith in our administration to jettison that joker before October was out.

 

I never actually made a prediction, apparently. But knew he would be losing the first 4 SEC games.

I have no idea what logic gets you to this thought.

Their schedule. And they’re vastly overrated.

 

Deductive logic

 

Look, we can have a serious discussion about the reasons that could cause Auburn to underachieve if you want, but I doubt you do, and I don’t blame you. But it’s a little bit hard to take seriously the notion that a team who beat both teams who played in the championship last year, and soundly, and returns a ton of talent, and is preseason #10, is overrated.

 

You lost your bell cow at RB, you lost a few olinemen and Kevin Steele is your DC. Also, when is the last time Auburn has met expectations?

 

Replacing bell cow running backs is not something Auburn has struggled with. Honestly the line will probably be at worst marginally worse because Herb Hand couldn’t coach.

Kevin Steele has been fantastic. We can talk about his past but there’s nothing to suggest Auburn won’t field an elite defense for the third year in a row.

Look, I’m not saying they’ll win the SEC or even the West, but they’re ranked 10th and half the media is picking MSU to beat them so they damn sure aren’t overrated.

Oh yeah, my guess is 7-5 with heavy consideration for 8-4. Hopefully they can come out of the brutal stretch fairly healthy. I 100% think they beat USCe but I also think they lose a game they shouldn’t.
