Lenny often needs to go #2 in middle of the night but won’t wake us up. In the morning I find 2 little perfect terds in front of the downstairs half bath toilet.
Taking my best bud in for oral surgery. Talked to him about it as he sat in my lap on the way. Told him what was happening and where we were going, then he turned his back on me.

She has somewhere between days and a few months. She's still acting largely like her normal self, but when she deteriorates it will happen quickly over a day or two. In some ways that makes it worse for me, but it's probably better for her that way. When she slides it'll be time to let her go. I've had her for longer than I've known my wife.
You have given that dog a great run and you should take some comfort in that. I may as well be talking to myself because I know I will be in your shoes any time now.
