I first noticed the declined when they ran Nostradamus conspiracies in the mid 2000's. I'm sure the decline started long before then.

 

Y2k shit was when I noticed, in 99

 

It has no business on the History channel, but Ancient Aliens is a guilty pleasure. High entertainment value there, and I'd imagine exponentially higher if high.

We found a nondescript and unlabeled glass vial at this abandoned site in Argentina....HITLER WAS KNOWN TO HAVE USED STOMACH MEDICINE THAT WAS ALSO STORED IN GLASS JARS!

It’s drama.

 

The problem, IMO, is that the only 2-3 people who saw Hitler’s uncovered and dead body, would likely have been the same ones who would have aided in any escape from the bunker / Berlin....who would have later lied about it.

But that does not a conspiracy make.

I’ve yet to see anything which credibly suggests that he successfully evaded Berlin, and death.

I’ve watched all of the shows, and they’ve yet to produce this, or anything approaching it.

But I’d welcome any suggestions as to evidences to the contrary - it’s fascinating to think about.

Hard to believe someone that famous and that hated could have:

1. Gotten past the insane number of Allied forces in the area.

2. Remained undetected for very long at all.

 

You’d be amazed at how many conspiracies thrive on exactly this, and little else.

The ol’ the more you disprove it, the more that it’s disproval is also part of the deepening conspiracy.

It’s really a brilliant system.

Some airplane with two high-ranking Nazis (one of which was not only a woman - but she flew the plane) landed in Berlin shortly before Hitler’s death and tried to persuade him to leave with them. He refused and they easily flew to safety and left.

Again, it just is what it is, and might have been possible.

Your second point is on point - possible or not, nothing credible says he made it out, at all, much less to anywhere else.

Well documented for some, but you know that conspiracy is out there. Even that it was too well documented.

Conspiracy Theories are unfortunate modern side-effect of our evolutionary strength of seeing patterns in chaos, and especially seeing false positives.

 

The remains are known and packaged on the seabed.

They didn't want to return the body to kin to be celebrated as a martyr or falsely declared a fake, and Islamic tradition allows for burial at sea. The location is secret, but someone else already went out and found it, but left it alone
