I agree. There are likely multiple contributing factors. The only thing known for certain is that we don't know the precise reasons sex and gender identity sometimes conflict. Although I cannot personally relate to the transgender state, I work to be supportive and listen to their experience to try and build a better understanding.

I'm super surprised that IP showed up in this thread and immediately attempted to take some moral high ground. Shocked, I tell ya.

 

It's certainly not *merely* a ploy for money or fame. There is an underlying impetus without question.

I, too, remember that Dr. Adcock's son was none too pleased with the transformation, but then I don't believe I ever met him, so that must have been pure hearsay.

Long story short, Adcock and his wife got a divorce and then he went crazy.
