I'm just going to let the neighbors bit bull puppy they can't keep in their yard handle the dirty work for me.

 

I know. I am a bad parent. I let my kids walk themselves to school. I let them walk down the road and play in the woods. By themselves. I don't sit in the same room with them 24/7.

I feel shamed.

 

I used to walk to school. Up hill. Both ways. In the snow.

When it comes to clothes my wife has the same talent. Sucks on the wallet.

 

I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard.

 

I've got tons of pallets at my warehouse if you want to build a house or something.

 

I would definitely let my kids walk to school if it was possible. As is my daughter would have an hour bus ride if we did not take her to school. Which is crazy since the school is only 8 miles from our house.

 

I'm just going to be brutally honest.

I've seen you.

I've seen your wife.

You need to shut the hell up and build whatever she asks you to build. And do it with a smile.

 

The joy of living .25 miles from your elementary and intermediate schools is great.

 

And no one carpools anymore because we are supposed to have kids in car seats till they are 40.

 

I'm not sure who was happier when the boy got upgraded to booster seat - me or him.

 

Just spent $300 for car seats for my car. I'm virtually certain at my kids same age I was sitting in the front seat of my dad's car with no car seat or booster. Somehow I survived

 

My dad had a soft cover jeep. I rode shotgun with no seatbelt on at age 5.

 

You know, in hindsight, maybe that wasn't the smartest thing.......

 

There is no joy like your kids graduating to the booster seat.

 

Hard to imagine it will be better than when we sleep trained my kids

 

What age do kids stay in booster seats til these days?

 

more of a height thing. My oldest can get out of his, but he doesn't want to yet as he loses about 3-4 inches of sight lines over the dashboard.
