I was all fired up to do it myself when I bought the house and save some money. then my in laws gardener came over and offered $70 a month and I said f it.
Ha I cut my grass myself, but everyday is one day closer to my two hellions being old enough to do it
I don't mind it now that I have a riding mower. I get a drink, fire up the mower, and listen to music or a podcast while I'm riding around.
When we moved down here I decided we'd either pay for lawn service or pool service, but not both. Went with pool, but this constant mowing on the sun's surface has me questioning that decision every summer.
Do you also like the look of erosion? Because that's what you'd have with the amount of rain we've had.
If you have to put as much effort into your pool each week as you do your lawn, you're doing something wrong. Opening and closing should be your only time commitments.
I love not mowing in the 100 degree heat or the borderline winter freeze. My guy shags the leaves too. I'll take it.
Stays open all year, so it balances out. I just hate dealing with it. Also, like Inv and Card, I enjoy mowing during late fall/winter. Yard work is a bit of a de-stressor when you're not melting while simultaneously being devoured by a variety of insects.
I could easily pay a guy to do it, but I like it. Mowing trimming, hedging, I just like doing it. I pay people to do shit i don't like doing.
