I also thought about another place but you would need a car to get there. It's called "Chubby's" in the Roxborough section of town. Right near a public golf course. Across Henry Ave. is their competitor Dalessandro's but I prefer Chubby's.
Tony Luke's got the most consistent good reviews, so I went for it. Not disappointed at all with the decision.
I think I would put Philly a bit higher than Boston in terms of overall experience. Fun place, good people. Minus one douchebag worker at the airport.
On my last flight, I had a choice between connecting in Philly and connecting in Charlotte. I chose Charlotte. The price was the same, but the Philly trip was supposedly a minute longer...my time is valuable.
Philly airport is notorious. Former mayor and his cronies ran that place into the ground. It's a laughing stock in a polluted swamp, BUT relatively easy to get to by transit, it's only redeeming quality.
I missed this entire conversation. I haven't had any problems with the airport in Philly. What's the beef with it?
Are you speaking of Ed Rendell? He is a mutual acquaintance of hat and I. How did he/they run it in the ground? It was already there before Ed's term. He was a popular mayor and also was elected governor.
