This gem about the quarterbacks for UAB “We might play all three of them, we might just run them in and out. Coach Spurrier used to do that. Just run the plays in there. We won’t have to signal. We can do like we did back I played for my dad. He whispers the play, you run out there and whisper it to the quarterback, we break the huddle. I kind of like that. We might play them all that way.”
I love the thought of a coach making millions per year still having to do regular husband shit so he doesn't get shit when he gets home.
That's how we called in plays in HS. QB either busted ass over to the sidelines, or position sub came in and relayed it.
Paraphrasing here, but I was a fan of his quote about his unsportsmanlike penalty. Something like "Yeah, my guys probably would have stopped them there if I hadn't gotten the penalty. That's on me. But I've always got my players' backs." Really like him taking the blame off the D for that TD. I know during the game I thought to myself that was the perfect time to lay into the refs (when it's only a 4 yd penalty).
I liked when someone asked him what Middleton could have done to not get targeting: "I don't know, I asked the same question and got a 15 yard penalty"
I liked it on Saturday when he asked Shrout if he’s [uck fay]ing stupid and told him to get his [uck fay]ing ass over here.
In the third quarter When Shrout went out of bounds instead of stretching the ball or lowering his head to get the first down.
