generally i'd agree, but an awful lot of the top guys are already commited. and there is definetely something to be said for recruiting momentum.
Agree, these recruits change their mind a lot before signing day anyway. I'm more concerned about Hart's recruiting than Dooley's.
Cal lost a coach who literally brought in 1 or 2 5 stars a year and half a dozen high 4 stars and people on the cal board are seriously arguing that his journeyman replacement is a "huge upgrade." I wish i could be this delusional.
Not a big deal yet. Whether Dooley stays or goes, we will climb up the rankings later on in the process like usual.
problem with that logic is that you have to be on the recruits radar well before that. oregon went to the national championship game and still couldn't manage better than the 10th ranked recruiting class.
I would say to please tell me you are kidding, but by this point I know you aren't. It's definitely a plan that never been used before if it is.
How much different are the initial rankings from what they've been in the past? If memory serves correctly we've been around the same if not further down.
Some of those guys are blind....spoiled with success of the 90's. I am beginning to wonder if there is a plan.
