I publicly apologize to the entire board for asking any question about this team making the NCAA tournament.
Thought this team would be an 18-19 win 10-seed at the beginning of the year, so this result isn't exactly a major disappointment to me. Glad they were able to give us some entertaining SEC games, but they were really never good enough to be in the tourney. Now time to put in the summer work and bring in some NBA talent.
That’s what I thought we’d be too, but that was contingent on having Lamonte healthy. Vescovi was a nice boost for this team, but rarely can a high school senior replace completely the productivity of a college senior, especially one like Turner.
Auburn is physical and tough and plays about 2 steps beyond what’s legal. They dare the refs to call a foul every 5 seconds, know they’ll get away with a lot, and have 3 or 4 pretty interchangeable guys so they don’t really worry about fouling them out
It kinda reminds of the Rockets right now. They have so many small guys playing physical on D and daring the refs to make calls.
One of the worst teams in the conference for 3 point percentage goes 44% against us. Sounds about right.
Every player shot like they knew it was going in. Not trying to make it. Shooting it like they already made it.
Pearl is a better coach, but I don't want that show back here again. I liked the winning, but you know it could be taken away with serious consequences at any time.
