For those interested or concerned about the black jerseys/BLM stuff, Tee Martin came on Swain's radio show and really clarified things. Short version: They're doing this as a way to support the players to speak their mind, make a platform. They are planning on bringing in speakers in coordination with efforts within the general student body. They haven't determined where charity fundraising will go, but it won't be the organization "Black Lives Matter," but rather in support of the cause of BLM. Could be the Boys and Girls Club, or whatever. They haven't determined that. He did specifically say not BLM the organization, so I think they are cognizant of political entanglement and avoiding it. If you are at all concerned, it is worth your time as I think it clears things up.
