I mean damn. That's one way to force some conversations.

I would have never seen this coming from Pruitt. And as cynical as I want to be about this (ex. it's for recruiting), at some point he's just taking the lead on this in a state where it won't be popular. That's pretty wild.

MLK was once unpopular in Tennessee. Tennessee grows.

Regardless of where any of you sit on the political aisle, you must recognize that Pruitt is playing with fire when he allows his team to be synonymous with any form of partisan politics. It isn't necessary and a smarter man would have drawn on Gary Pinkel's 2015 as to what happens when you allow your locker room to become politically minded.

I honest to God don't think the man is capable of faking it. He is either on board or not.

Until the NCAA rules all of our players ineligible for having their jerseys sold.

Game apparel and equipment is already auctioned/sold for charity.

I do agree with you to an extent. And there was clarifying tweet from Brian Rice that money raised will go to actual charities vs political groups. That is an important distinction to me.

At some point, though, you've gotta meet your locker room halfway.

Bold of you to assume the 'AA will apply the same rules and logic to all cases.

I love that Pruitt is doing this. Any guys in the locker room that have an issue with it can transfer to Auburn where they belong.

Bear Bryant scheduled USC so the state would allow black players at Alabama. Coaching and sports can be great drivers of change

I don't see this as a political issue, this is giving an actual [uck fay] about your players outside of the locker room. I appreciate the balls to do it, too.

It's not political unless someone is arguing that black lives in fact do not matter. Remember, President Donald J. Trump just signed an executive order regarding police reform. This isn't fringe partisanship. This is a broad demand for rights to be upheld and obligations to be met, and both parties can and will respond.

it's reality he can't be on the wrong side of this if he wants to recruit.

True, but he's a stubborn, hard headed guy that can't fake shit.

The best are the pics that look like he got dressed in the dark at a local thrift store.
