Yes. Ridgeway Briarcrest was satellite elementary school held where we went to church and we walked to school. It was either that or bussed to Melrose for HS or give a fake address and my dad wouldnt do it. Lived a mile from Ridgeway but my neighborhood was zoned to be bussed out. At that time i believe it was about 3k a year for private and we had a shit campus with no home baseball or football field.

 

As far as coaching goes, he’s legit.



This talk is similar to the Dan Mullen is an 8-4 coach because look at what he did at the juggernaut Mississippi State.

 

Dan Mullen has surprised me. Especially looking at their recruiting.

 

Basically my list. More I think about, closer I move Napier to top of list.

 

Mullen has had quite a few signees not get into school and a few guys leave immediately after getting there.

 

Napier's resume is great. He's got experience with Saban and Dabo

 

Why are we obsessed with up and comers. I want someone who already came.

Quite frankly I don’t love the options. I am of the mindset it’s a 2 step process. Get respectable then review the landscape. I will get blasted but that’s fine. I would prefer Fulmer or Cutcliffe come in for a 2-3yr stabilizing run. Get the stank off the program. The record is 1 thing but we play shart football. Maybe take an up and comer and try to get them to accept a coord position 2 years as coach in waiting.

I’d take Freeze then maybe Bo Pelini. Campbell seems like a stretch to me but he would be a consideration.

Napier by all accounts seems like the hot property and I think he’s the best of that group. But I prefer a transition plan. Yes coach in waiting hasn’t worked but can’t be open ended. 2 yrs and it’s yours.
